For some, shopping is an opportunity to browse the shop shelves in search of new, attractive products. For others, it's a chore to deal with after a hard day at work. No wonder, then, that many people reach for the computer when they get home, with the intention of buying the necessary items online. Access to a wide range of products and delivery right to your door sounds convincing!
For many years, the e-commerce industry has been increasingly successful in the market. Online shops have become formidable competitors to their traditional counterparts. It is therefore not surprising that most of them decide to expand their operations by enabling customers to do e-commerce. Recently, this has become popular especially among supermarket chains.
Up to now, grocery shopping has been associated mainly with large shopping centres, supermarkets or smaller neighbourhood shops. This is because online grocery shopping was only offered by specialist health food shops or, for example, coffee or tea shops. Nowadays, however, both these places - stationary shops and online shops - offer the same range of food.
The popularisation of online grocery shopping is supported primarily by the interest in this form of errands. There is no denying that it is a convenient solution, and the multitude of offers or the possibility to compare prices of a desired product in several different places makes us more and more willing to put goods into a virtual basket.
Online grocery shops
For many, the vision of buying food without visiting a supermarket is very attractive. This is particularly evidenced by the interest in e-shopping. The choice of the right shop depends entirely on the individual tastes of the shopper. Currently, he or she can take advantage of the offer:
- typical online grocery shops (such as frisco.pl or bdsklep.pl) that operate only virtually,
- online branches of traditional retail chains (such as Auchan Direct, Tesco, Carrefour, Kaufland) with stationary shop branches from which goods are available in the online shop.
The differences between these shops mainly concern the range of products on offer. Typically, typical online shops provide customers with a smaller range of products than those that are a branch of a traditional retail chain. In addition, the latter can boast brand-name products in their range - such as the K-Classic range in the Kaufland chain.
Online shopping gives you more options!
There is no denying that online shops have more opportunities than their stationary counterparts. This mainly concerns the products on offer. Usually, online shops offer their customers a wider stock of goods. This is because even a market has limited space when it comes to the presentation of the available products. This is not the case with e-commerce, whose range remains virtual.
Every shopper can intuitively and quickly search for the desired product online. Price comparison sites help them to find the best offer. The offers displayed by the comparison sites show the price offered by the individual shops for the goods in question. This allows each customer to decide individually which shop is the best place to buy from.
Delivered straight to your door!
Shopping online has many advantages. They involve convenience, savings as well as access to a wider range of products. Also noteworthy are competitive prices and a variety of payment methods - from online transfer to cash on delivery.
However, what attracts customers most is the possibility of home delivery. Thus, the entire shopping process is limited to the selection of an assortment on the shop's website. The convenient date on which the purchases will be delivered is chosen by the customer during the order process. In this way, he or she can adjust the arrival Courier into your schedule.
Usually, the option of home delivery of purchases is possible once the minimum order amount is exceeded. It is also worth remembering that this is a service for which you pay an additional fee - depending on the shop, this is on average PLN 15.
Click & collect
There is also a great deal of interest in the possibility of individual collection of ordered goods, once they have been purchased remotely. To this end, many shops, especially chain shops that have their own online branches, provide their customers with a click & collect service. This service was developed especially for those who are unable to specify their preferred delivery time.
We are also meeting the demands of our service users! Since April, we have expanded our range to include devices called Lódkomaty. They operate on the same principle as the well-known parcel machines. As a result, our customers can enjoy fresh and well-stored food!
