An important element is the CTA, or call to action. The call to action is intended to encourage the recipient to take an action, e.g. to purchase a product.
In order for a CTA to be effective, the ad must present not only the good or service, but also the benefit the customer will gain from it. It should be credible, which means consistent with the brand image. Often, good messages use storytelling, i.e. incorporating the advertising content into the story being told.
