InPost Group reaches another milestone in its growth in the UK logistics services market
InPost continues its rapid growth in the UK with the placing of Paczkomat® InPost number 5000 - highlighting the significant increase in demand from UK consumers for OOH delivery. As joint research with the UK representative of the Lidl shop chain shows, the availability of InPost's Parcel Machines® has had a positive impact on increasing the number of customers in the UK outlets of the discount retailer.
InPost, the leader in logistics solutions for e-commerce, is successfully continuing its European expansion. In mid-March this year, the company has officially confirmed the installation of the 5000 Parcel Machine® in the UK - In this way, the market has become the second country after Poland with the largest number of InPost machines. This means that consumers can send and receive their parcels with the help of around 290,000 boxes. Already, almost half of the residents of London, Birmingham and Manchester live within a seven-minute walking radius of the nearest Parcel Machine®.
– We are extremely proud to have installed our 5,000th InPost® Parcel Machine. This is a landmark moment not only in the development of InPost in the UK, but also across Europe. It is also an important step in changing the habits and mindset of the British people when it comes to choosing a form of delivery. The convenient and hassle-free use of our devices and the possibility of collecting and sending parcels at any time, as well as the fact that delivery by Paczkomat® is the most environmentally friendly delivery method, make the British, just like the Poles, increasingly fond of our services. The location of our machines is also important for their growing popularity, as they can be found in places such as railway stations, petrol stations and supermarkets, which adds to their convenience. Whether customers are commuting to work, going out for dinner with friends or returning from the gym, they can pick up their parcel at a time and place that suits them. - Says Michael Rouse, CEO International and adds: At a time when the volume of traffic on UK high streets continues to increase, Parcel Machines® play an important role in supporting local businesses by encouraging new customers to visit local shops where InPost machines are located. This is borne out by recent research carried out in partnership with Lidl, which showed that 54% of our machine users have made a purchase in-store, with almost half confirming that using a Parcelcomat® machine was their main excuse for shopping.
Building a network of Paczkomat® InPost devices and increasing interest in the service in the UK has been based, among other things, on partnerships with key players in the public transport or retail sectors. InPost has recently established partnerships with Manchester's main public transport operator, as well as the Morrisons supermarket chain, the Vinted platform and the WHSmith bookstore chain.
