Supporting Lower Silesia in the "Postcards from the Flood" campaign

Sometimes the most valuable thing you can send is good emotions and support. That's why we're joining the "Postcards from the Flood" social action, which drives tourism in the flood areas.

In September 2024, southern Poland - including Lower Silesia and the Opole region - was hit by dramatic flooding. Streets turned into rivers, houses were flooded and the lives of thousands of people were turned upside down in an instant.

Although the water has receded, its effects are still being felt - not only in the hearts of residents, but also in the local economy.

"Postcards from the Floods", i.e. we are sending goodness

Months after the flood, Lower Silesia still needs support in rebuilding. That is why we are joining the partners of the extraordinary social campaign "Postcards from the Flood", which tells the stories of the inhabitants of the flooded areas through artistic postcards - not through the prism of tragedy, but through strength, hope and openness. 💛

Each card is an invitation: from Poles in need, to Poles who can help by visiting Lower Silesia for a weekend, a holiday or even just for a moment.

Tourism is not just about leisure - it's about real support for those running tourism businesses; local communities that are rebuilding after a disaster.

InPost as a logistics partner

Our role in the campaign is logistics - but also something more. We are helping to distribute postcards printed locally, at a print shop directly affected by the floods.

Thanks to our logistics facilities, as much as 600 000 postcards will go as far as possible, to addressees all over Poland, to touch hearts. Because it is from these small gestures that real change is born.

We help from day one

From the first days of the floods, we were there where help was needed most. Together with local authorities and organisations:

• We provided logistical support for the transport of more than 3,000 pallets of products and materials - donations from Warsaw, Krakow or Poznan,

• we provided in-kind assistance, including 95,000 bags and 500 tonnes of sand for Wrocław, as well as cleaning products, technical equipment and accessories for cleaning up damaged homes, among other things,

• we have made aid parcels available on the InPost Fresh app and made it possible to send them free of charge via Parcel Machines,

• We have become involved financially, supporting towns and municipalities such as Jelenia Góra, Wałbrzych and Podgórzyn, as well as local initiatives to help those affected.
