The e-commerce market is growing year on year, and with it comes an increasing need for more people to deliver parcels. If you’re looking for a job where every day is different and you decide the pace of your route yourself, the role of an InPost courier might be just the thing for you. Find out what the process is like, from applying to making your first delivery.

Step 1: Check whether this is the right job for you

You don’t need a relevant degree or specialist qualifications. What matters is the ability to drive, a good sense of direction and a willingness to get stuck in. The people best suited to this role are:

• stress-resistant,
• able to work under time pressure,
• responsible and obligatory,
• communicative and open to engaging with customers,
• physically fit – delivering parcels is part of everyday life.

Step 2: Choose a form of collaboration

InPost does not impose a single model – You decide how you want to proceed:

• courier contract,
• contract for services,
• status – depending on the carrier you choose to work with.

The most common form of employment chosen by couriers at InPost is a permanent position or a courier contract.

Step 3: Decide – with or without your own vehicle?

This is one of the most important decisions you’ll make at the start. Do you have your own vehicle – a minibus or a van? That’s a clear advantage: you can look forward to higher potential earnings and greater flexibility in organising your day. Don’t have your own vehicle? We’ve got you covered – we’ll help you set up a partnership with one of our transport providers, who’ll supply you with a vehicle so you can start driving straight away.

You can also choose from rental of a modern electric vehicle, with access to chargers on the ward.

Step 4: Come forward and complete the formalities

To get started, you’ll need:

• a valid Polish Category B driving licence (experience of driving a minibus is a big plus),
• a willingness to provide services and a commitment to the role,
• excellent manners and a commitment to providing professional customer service.

You can find the application form at inpost.pl/kurier-inpost. Once you’ve been accepted, you’ll be assigned a territory – specific neighbourhoods or a larger area – and will receive support from a service coordinator, who will help you settle in during your first few weeks.

Step 5: Your first day on the route

The day begins early in the morning – You will collect parcels from the warehouse, check them for damage and load them onto the vehicle. Then you’ll plan your route and set off for your area – where deliveries to Paczkomat® parcel lockers and in-person deliveries to customers will take up most of your day. Finally, you’ll return to the warehouse, settle the cash-on-delivery parcels and hand over any items that were posted via Paczkomat.
