Knowing the rules of the road, being aware of current legislation and perfecting defensive driving techniques are key to making good decisions behind the wheel.
At InPost, the safety of Employees is a priority, which is why we ensure that our Drivers keep their knowledge up to date.
Together with our partner Arval Service Lease Polska, we organised a defensive, safe driving training workshop at the modern DriveLand circuit in Słabomierz.
Participation in the event was a prize for the best Couriers in a competition organised by the InPost Fleet Team. Its main objective was to improve the practical skills that our Drivers need in their daily work and to demonstrate proper behaviour in road hazard situations.
As part of the training, participants had the opportunity to verify their skills under the guidance of professionals. They learned how to react correctly to emergency situations with the full support of the safety systems in the premium cars lent by Mercedes-Benz Poland. The course included:
- emergency braking with obstacle avoidance,
- response to car understeer,
- oversteer and understeer,
- learning to drive defensively and economically,
- vehicle loading rules,
- pre-medical first aid with extraction of the injured.
At InPost, we are constantly expanding our fleet of electric cars to further reduce the negative impact of e-commerce logistics on the environment. Our actions are appreciated - we are winning prestigious awards and distinctions as a leader in electromobility. Among others, we received a statuette for the largest fleet of electric vans.
We believe that any company with its own fleet should be responsible and take care of the periodic training of its Drivers.
