Getting a text message asking you to pay your dues? BEWARE! We have heard that scammers are impersonating InPost in text messages and trying to extort money or personal information.
But not with us like that! 😉 We want to warn all our customers against attacks by fraudsters. Be careful online and do not click on suspicious links.
Please be assured that as InPost we do NOT send text messages about additional costs and we never provide external links.
What should raise your suspicions?
- SMS was sent from an unknown sender / number
- the message contains a suspicious link
- the content informs about non-payment or underpayment and urges to settle it via the link provided
To avoid being caught by cyber crooks:
- never click on dubious links
- do not open or reply to suspicious SMS messages
- never give out your personal information
- use ONLY verified forms of payment (e.g. InPost Mobile app)
- apply the principle of limited trust online and always carefully check the messages you receive
Phishing for money and data via SMS is another method of fraud. Quite recently, we informed you about the plague of phishing attacks on sales portals. The scammers decided to use a fake InPost website for their purposes. You will read more about this HERE .
Remember that you can safely send, return or monitor your parcel on the InPost Mobile app. Download the app today from the official shops Google Play lub App Store .
Doubt that the message you are receiving is from us? Contact us via the hotline or via contact form - we will reply as soon as possible!
