"The year 2020 is a landmark year for InPost. For the first time in the history of global e-commerce, device delivery has beaten courier delivery in its popularity. I am convinced that Poland is the first, but not the last, country where such a change is taking place. Paczkomat® device deliveries are much more environmentally friendly than courier deliveries. The growing ecological awareness of consumers will force the logistics industry to introduce more pro-environmental solutions. I am proud that Poland is pioneering one of the world's greenest e-commerce logistics solutions." - said Rafał Brzoska, CEO of InPost.
The popularity of the Paczkomat® InPost network of devices is not only due to the number of devices available, although there are already more than 7,000.
"It's not enough to put up the machines themselves - it's a complex service, the success of which is already based on several years of experience. Moreover, it is constantly being modified in line with consumer expectations. Last year, we decided to consistently move all parcel management activities to the app, which worked perfectly at a time when the demand for contactless services increased. The percentage of our customers increased in just 7 months by as much as 23% - this means that people who previously, for some reason, did not use InPost's solutions, became convinced of this extremely convenient form of parcel collection. The fast rate of growth of interest in our services is the reason why we are dynamically developing the network of Paczkomat® machines, putting up dozens of new ones every week in both large cities and small towns. We look at the results of the Gemius study with pride, but we also treat them as a special kind of obligation - to continuously develop our modern range of services and improve their quality." - underlines Brzoska
