New free service in the InPost Mobile app
InPost - a leader among e-commerce delivery platforms in Europe - has introduced a long-awaited convenience in its mobile app for people who are short and have disabilities. The new solution - Facilitated Access Zone - allows parcels to be ordered to lower boxes on the device, at a height of between 30 and 150 cm. The option is only available in the InPost Mobile app and is a response to the reported needs of users.
- For a long time, we have received numerous requests for such additional functionality. Today, we are responding to this demand by listening to our customers. We have prepared a special option in our app. I am sure that the Facilitated Access Zone is not only another convenience and a real increase in the comfort of using our machines - but above all proof of how flexible our solutions are. We have such advanced technology integrated with the InPost Mobile application that we can implement practically any new solution that customers expect. There are no similar, competitive IT systems supporting logistics companies on the Polish and many foreign markets. As you can see, just setting up machines is only a piece of the whole infrastructure that is necessary to effectively manage the network of parcel collection points and the convenience of deliveries for their customers," emphasises Rafał Brzoska, CEO of InPost.
How do I use the Easy Access Zone? One click is all it takes!
- In the application, in the details of the selected consignment next to the question "Shall I place the consignment in the Easy Access Zone?" click "Activate". After this instruction, the courier will be aware of the recipient's preference.
- The above instruction can only be made via the application InPost Mobile , separately for each consignment, and may be made no later than when the consignment is handed over for delivery.
- Delivery to lower boxes will be possible when space is available. If no space is available in the Facilitated Access Area, parcels will be delivered in accordance with the Parcel Service Regulations. It is for this reason that we ask you to use this service responsibly to ensure that parcels can be delivered to those most in need.
- We will inform you by email and directly in the app whether your parcel has reached your preferred Zone.
