"Open hearts - open wardrobes" - InPost partner of nationwide campaign for refugees from Ukraine
14 March 2022
With the ongoing war in Ukraine, more and more collections and initiatives to support refugees are being set up in Poland. The scale of the need is growing all the time, which is why we at InPost are keen to get involved and provide logistical support. This time, we are a partner of the WoshWosh 'Open Hearts - Open Closets' campaign.
Every form of help is worth its weight in gold! The aim of the WoshWosh campaign is to collect shoes and clothes for people in need in Ukraine. The campaign is supported by LPP, MODIVO, eobuwie, Nokia, Kuehne+Nagel, Jet Line and InPost.
Collection organised by WoshWosh will run from 14 to 28 March. In order to collect as many items as possible, clothes and shoes can be conveniently donated in 49 shops in Poland owned by the LPP company (Reserved, Mohito, Cropp. House or Sinsay), as well as in MODIVO and eobuwie shops. The list of shops where you can donate items is available at HERE .
As a logistics partner of the campaign, we are giving away 1,000 free codes to send footwear or clothing in an InPost parcel machine (in the largest available package size). In addition, we give away the equivalent of 1,000 codes for cleaning and disinfecting the clothes and shoes being shipped.
WoshWosh will select and clean the clothes and shoes, which will then - via Caritas Poland - go to refugees from Ukraine and organisations working on the border. Donated items should be neat, of good quality and in good condition.
„ We already know that the longer the conflict continues, the more people want to leave Ukraine to take refuge in our country. The people who are now crossing the border are mainly women and children - they arrive in our country with only what they are actually wearing. It is important to me that they can feel comfortable here and receive neat clothes and shoes that will allow them to organise themselves and survive this difficult time. As we have a lot of experience in organising collections we will take care of sorting, refreshing and disinfecting the shoes and clothes, but I still appeal for a conscious and rational approach to help ", says Martyna Zastawna, founder of WoshWosh, which has already organised help for more than 50,000 people affected by homelessness.
Want to help and donate clothes or shoes? To obtain a code for free shipping of donations in an InPost parcel machine, please send an email to napiszdonas@woshwosh.pl , please write Open Hearts - Open Closets in the title.
Shoes and clothes can also be donated at the WoshWosh studio, 57/65 Międzyborska Street in Warsaw. Items can also be sent to the above address.
Together we can do more!
