Are you on an out-of-town trip or working and out of time, and suddenly there's a 'ready for collection' notification? That thrill - yep, we all know it! 😉 .
If you sometimes ask a friend, your other half, your sister, your brother or your neighbour for a favour and a quick pick-up, we have good news for you! We are introducing a new feature in the InPost Mobile app, which many of our customers have been waiting for! From now on, you can easily make your parcel available in the InPost Mobile app to the app of the person who will take care of the parcel collection for you. We have prepared the function so that it is as convenient as possible while being fully safe.
The 'Share parcel from app to app' function significantly expands the current app capabilities and allows you to give another InPost Mobile user your parcel for collection with a single click. The person who is to pick up the parcel sees your parcel and its collection time in their app.
The new functionality is free, completely secure and allows you to fully manage your parcel: you can collect the parcel, extend the collection time, pay for the collection parcel and - best of all - collect it remotely via the InPost Mobile app. As you can see, the new feature makes life a lot easier! 😉
"The new feature in the InPost Mobile app will make the process of sending and receiving parcels even more flexible. It still happens that our users are surprised when they receive a notification on the very day of sending a parcel that they can collect it from their device. Very often in such situations, it happened that the addressee, for various reasons, was not able to do so, but that a person close to him or her who did not have access data to the box could do so. Thanks to the new function, the problem has been solved and in a situation when, for various reasons, we ourselves cannot go to a Paczkomat® machine, with one click we hand over our parcel to a person who will do it for us". - underlines Anna Heimberger , marketing director of InPost Poland.
How do I share a parcel from app to app? You do it in two easy steps!
STEP 1 - first pair your phone with the phone of the person who will receive the package.
We are committed to making parcel sharing secure. For this reason, first pair up with the user to whom you want to share a parcel. Start the InPost Mobile app, enter the details of the parcel in question, click "Share the parcel" , then "Share from app to app" , later "Add user" and enter the telephone number of the trusted person to whom you want to share the package. Number entered? Great! Now click "Generate code" and share it with the other person using the available communicators.
The person you want to pair with should enter the code you receive in their app. How to do this? Simply enter Settings , clicks "Pair the user" , then "I have a code to pair". enter the code, click "Sparuj" - and done! You only go through the pairing process once, and then you can quickly and easily share your parcels in the InPost app. Once paired, your friend will only have access to the shipments you make available to them.
STEP 2 - make the parcel available!
For shipping details, click "Share the parcel" , then "Share from app to app" .
Choose from the list who you want to share the parcel with and click "Share.
Done! From now on, your friend can manage your shared parcel, including extending its collection time or picking it up remotely from the Parcel Machine.
