Do you run an online shop? On 16 March, with our Business Partners in mind, we updated the document “Guidelines for preparing and packing InPost parcels” for domestic shipments. The changes introduced will enable our Business Customers to send a wider range of items in selected categories.
See below for details of the changes.
The changes cover the following categories:
- Plants (seedlings and pot plants) – may only be sent by Business Customers who hold the legally required permits and phytosanitary documents, such as a phytosanitary certificate.
- Creative works - e.g. handicrafts, which are reproducible and can be recreated.
- Ceramic tableware – e.g. porcelain, crockery, plant pots, decorative items, lamps and glassware, provided they are properly secured in accordance with the packing guide.
- Medical devices – e.g. goods that do not require special transport conditions, such as temperature control.
- Tyres – We now accept tyres up to 21 inches in diameter for transport, instead of 20. Furthermore, tyres without rims up to 21 inches in diameter will not be classified as non-standard consignments. Previously, the limit was 15 inches.
In the ‘Guide’ you will also find guidelines on packing and securing parcels .
We are not changing our existing basic rules regarding the dimensions and weight of our parcels. As part of the update for Business Customers, we are introducing new categories for transport.
New document structure
For greater convenience and clarity, we have divided the document into three sections:
- General principles ,
- Retail Customer – for services provided in accordance with the publicly available Terms and Conditions,
- Business Customer – for services provided under an individual business contract.
You can find the updated version of the “Guidelines for preparing and packing InPost parcels” at inpost.pl/terms-and-conditions .
Have a look and check out the details. 😊
