26 June 2019
InPost has won the tender to supply Parcel Machines® to the city of Salzburg in Austria. The management company Salzburg AG has selected InPost as the strategic supplier of the InPost Paczkomaty® technology. Over the next five years, 1,000 machines will be deployed in the city. The first machines will already appear in July 2019 in key locations in Salzburg!
InPost to deliver its latest NEW FM machine model which met all the demanding criteria of the city of Salzburg. In addition, as part of the cooperation InPost supports the partner with its know-how and qualified team for after-sales services.
This is another market where InPost devices will appear. In previous years, Parcel Machines® were also supplied to operators in countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Iceland, Ireland, Colombia, Brazil and Australia.
"Europe is beginning to appreciate the convenience of automated services - not only in terms of delivery and collection of parcels - but also other options that our machines can offer. Poland is undoubtedly a pioneer in this respect - there is no other country in Europe that uses Paczkomats so massively ® . The history of our development has shown that it took the Old Continent longer to grasp the idea of machines available 24/7. However, it looks like the labour shortage affecting all countries - accompanied by unabated double-digit growth in e-commerce - will force automation, and Parcel Machines ® fit perfectly into this model. In Poland, Paczkomaty® InPost are extremely popular and I firmly believe that the people of Salzburg will also appreciate the accessibility, convenience and simplicity of using such services. InPost's parcel machines® met the high requirements that the Austrian side presented - this shows that our parcel machine technology is one of the best in the world." - said Rafał Brzoska, CEO of InPost.
