InPost filed a financial report confirming that it contributed more than PLN 222 million to the Polish budget from income tax in 2021. This amount is almost double the value of the tax we paid in 2020. Moreover, it is more than PLN 60 million higher than the income tax paid by all other courier companies operating in Poland!
"We pay taxes where we do our business. That is why we pay them in Poland and will continue to do so in the future. In 2021, we will contribute more than PLN 222 million to our country's budget through income tax alone. To better illustrate how large this amount is, suffice it to say that it would be enough to buy 40 million kilograms of sugar or 185,000 tonnes of coal or 440 medium-sized flats in Warsaw or 20 Bayaktar drones, which are so necessary for the Ukrainian army today. We know that we are the largest payer among logistics companies operating in Poland - The value of income tax for last year, which we paid to the State Treasury, was over PLN 60 million higher than the amount paid by all other companies in our industry last year. These companies are global giants that have been present in Poland for years and pay negligible taxes on their operations in Poland, at the level of a fraction of a percent of revenue, even though at their national level, in their countries of origin, they pay billions of euros in tax. Except that At InPost, we are guided by the principles of economic patriotism and are keen to reciprocate to our customers by doing our part to ensure their standard of living. After all, this money goes towards, among other things, maintaining schools, kindergartens or repairing and building safer roads." - he emphasises Rafał Brzoska, InPost CEO.
InPost is listed on the EURONEXT Amsterdam stock exchange, but the Polish branch of the company has been paying all liabilities to the Polish budget since its inception.
