InPost opens largest logistics hub in Poland

36 thousand m2 - this is the area of the new logistics centre of the InPost Group and as much as 5 football pitches. Thus, we are announcing the opening of the largest facility of this type in Poland, where up to 85 thousand parcels per hour will be handled!
Not far from Warsaw and Łódź, in Wola Bykowska, an impressive logistics centre of the InPost Group has been established! With it, we have officially become the second operator in Poland in terms of warehouse and logistics space.
Modern and ecological
The new centre has 4 courier sheds dedicated to 120 couriers. The building has BREEAM EXCELLENT certification, a 200 kWh photovoltaic installation expandable to 1 MW3, a bicycle charging system, AI in CCTV, car chargers, as well as hybrid heating, heat pumps and radiant heaters.
- In 2016, we opened a sorting facility in Wola Bykowska, with the aim of using it for a decade. However, the pace at which the InPost Group is growing has exceeded our wildest expectations. Last year, we decided to build another logistics centre, twice as big, in Wola Bykowska, to meet the growing demand for state-of-the-art logistics services in Poland. The newly built facility is the newest and largest logistics centre in Poland. Our customers extremely value deliveries for their speed and convenience. The expansion of our logistics centres allows us to strengthen our competitive advantages and maintain operational efficiency. The quality of our logistics in Poland sets the standards that we implement in all 9 European markets where we currently operate. In Western Europe, the D+1 standard has so far been treated as a premium service, whereas the InPost Group has revolutionised this, making us a leader throughout Europe - said Rafał Brzoska, founder and CEO of InPost.
The figures are impressive
Although everything is changing fast, at the moment InPost has 71 branches all over Poland and a fleet of nearly 1,300 electric vehicles. At the same time, we are investing in the development of a network of electric vehicle charging stations across the country (we are the leader - we have over 700 private charging points!). This year we have also opened new branches in cities such as Kielce, Radom, Jelenia Góra, Ciechanów and Ruda Śląska.
