Free collection of multiple parcels from a single Paczkomat® InPost box
InPost - the leader in modern logistics in Poland - has launched a pilot Multicash program. Thanks to the new, free of charge functionality gained by each Paczkomat®, several parcels to one recipient will be placed in one box. The full-scale solution will launch in mid-May, but the Multiskrytka option is already available in selected InPost machines. Parcels in Multiskrytka are identified by the recipient's telephone number. Only one code is needed to receive parcels - InPost will inform customers about parcels that have been included in Multiscrytka in SMS and e-mail messages. Soon, notifications will also appear in the InPost Mobile application. The maximum number of parcels that can be placed in the Multiscrypt depends solely on the volume of the available box.
"We are well aware of how many of our customers have been waiting for Multiskrytka - and here it is! We are introducing a new functionality that allows us to streamline and shorten the entire parcel collection process. Thanks to the new and completely free solution, our customers will not waste their precious time - they can collect their parcels in one go, without having to open each box separately. From now on, you only need one collection code and one box - for multiple parcels. The demand for services using the Paczkomat® InPost network of machines is constantly growing - we are trying to exploit the possibilities of our machines at every step. For the time being, we are starting a pilot of this service, but we intend to gradually increase the number of machines offering the new functionality." - said Rafał Brzoska, CEO of InPost
Rafał Brzoska emphasises that Paczkomat®-based deliveries are the safest form of delivery during the current pandemic.
"Combined with the remote opening of lockers using the InPost applications , is the most convenient way of receiving parcels at the moment. In addition, the Multiskrytka also makes using the machines very environmentally friendly. By delivering more parcels to the machines at once, we help to reduce exhaust emissions, as well as traffic congestion and noise associated with transport." - adds Brzoska.
If a customer orders several parcels within an order from one shop at the same time, they will all be in one cache if two conditions are met: the shop has the ordered products in stock and will send them at the same time, and courier InPost will have space in the Multiskrytka to put all the parcels there during one drive to the machine.
Parcel deliveries are not held up to place all of them in the Multiscreen. If a client orders 3 parcels from different suppliers with collection in the Paczkomat® inPost machine and two of them arrive on the same day - in this case two parcels will be placed in the Multiscreen and the third one in another locker. If not all of the parcels fit into the Multiscreen, some will be placed in another locker.
Only prepaid parcels can be in one Multis box - if one parcel sent to the same recipient is COD and another has been prepaid, they will be waiting for collection in two different boxes.
Demand for InPost's services is growing steadily - the number of machines (6000 in Poland) has exceeded the scale of Poczta Polska's own outlets (4600[1]) .
As many as 63% of online shoppers declare that they most often use the services offered by InPost[2] - the highest result among all logistics companies operating in Poland.
InPost, due to the growing demand for services using its network of Paczkomat® devices in connection with the pandemic, has accelerated the launch of its new "Parcel on the Weekend" service to allow deliveries to appliances also on Saturdays and Sundays - The cost of the service is PLN 4.99 gross. Under 'Parcels at the weekend', parcels will be delivered to customers at the weekend if the posting (i.e. the parcel being handed over to a device or POP, or the order being placed for collection by courier), takes place by 1pm on Saturday.
InPost has also released an innovative solution that allows you to manage your Paczkomat® InPost device and your locker from within the app[3]. . From a few months onwards, multiple people will be able to receive parcels at once with one device. GO MOBILE Strategy! is a significant step in the reorientation of the logistics industry towards mobility. InPost will also soon make it possible to send parcels via an app installed on a smartphone. InPost can now also be contacted via WhatsApp by sending a message to +48 722 444 000. Customers can inquire about, among other things, the status of their parcel, the nearest Paczkomat®, as well as the courier's number. This is the first such solution in Poland available through this application. You can also talk to InPost using Google Assistant by calling a bot called ChatBot Mat with the phrase 'Talk to InPost', as well as on Messenger.
InPost is Poland's largest logistics operator, invested in by US investment funds Advent International and KKR. The company offers courier services and deliveries via the nationwide network of Paczkomat® InPost machines for individual and institutional customers, including comprehensive services dedicated to the e-commerce industry.
