Join the public action, support civic rescue and help increase the availability of AED defibrillators in Poland!

The InPost Group, a leader in logistics solutions for the e-commerce industry in Europe, will install up to 100 Helpbox 365 stations as part of a joint initiative with the Rescue Centre. Each station is equipped with an AED defibrillator, ready for use 24/7. The devices will appear not only in large conurbations, but also in smaller towns and rural areas. The InPost Mobile app has just launched an InCoin collection for this purpose - one filled heart equals one AED defibrillator installed by InPost.

In Poland, as many as 80% of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) cases occur outside hospital - that is, during everyday activities. Performing defibrillation within 3-5 minutes of sudden cardiac arrest can result in survival rates of up to 70% . Unfortunately, the availability of AEDs in the public space is below the European average, so we decided to change this. From now on, our Paczkomat machines will not only be a logistical solution, but also a point of easy access to life-saving equipment - that is, a Helpbox 365 station with an AED defibrillator. In the first phase of the project, we will install 100 such devices, both in large cities and in rural areas - so as to start filling in the 'white spots' on the map of Poland that do not have any AED defibrillator in the area," says Rafał Brzoska, founder and CEO of InPost Group .

The initiative aims to increase access to devices that can save lives, namely Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). In this way, the InPost Group supports the development of civic rescue infrastructure in Poland. Helpbox 365 stations will be installed on Paczkomat machines in city centres, housing estates, near shops or petrol stations - so as to significantly increase the availability of AEDs and thus the chance of rapid intervention in the event of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA).

The advantage of the AED defibrillator is its intuitive operation - the device analyses the heart rhythm of the victim itself and guides the person providing help step by step by voice. Thanks to this, anyone, even a person without medical training, can respond effectively in a life-threatening situation. The key factor is the time to reach the defibrillator - the faster the device is used, the greater the chance of saving the victim," he adds. Tomasz Kutycki, Medical Director of the Rescue Centre.

The InPost Group will install up to 100 stations, which will appear not only in large conurbations, but also in smaller towns and rural areas. The InPost Mobile app has just launched an InCoin collection for this purpose - one filled heart will enable the installation of one Helpbox 365 station. One AED defibrillator is the equivalent of 5,000,000 InCoins.
