Paczkomat® InPost helps Gorzów Wielkopolski
InPost - the leader in modern logistics in Poland - has provided the City Hall of Gorzów Wielkopolski with two new, specialised Paczkomat® devices with the InPost Urząd 24 service. They will allow residents to deal with official matters without direct contact with officials - documents can be sent and collected via an InPost device. InPost's flashy offer of cooperation with Polish local authorities is a response to the rapidly growing need for fast, but also - due to the ongoing pandemic - contactless services. It is the first in a series of planned installations for cities across Poland.
"We had already seen the possibility of creating such a service and our R&D team was working on the concept. However, it was only at the beginning of the pandemic that we set up a dedicated team of our specialists with the task of preparing the commercialisation of the concept. It worked basically 24 hours a day and prepared the design, the necessary hardware infrastructure and the IT architecture at an express pace. The Mayor of Gorzów Wielkopolski, on the other hand, was the first to say that this was a great idea and a solution to the current problems. We quickly created machines configured for the city's needs and prepared the InPost Urząd24 service, which will greatly facilitate the circulation of documents between the office and the citizens. The first dedicated machines bearing the city's coat of arms have just been placed in Gorzów Wielkopolski. In addition, to make it as easy as possible to deal with official matters, we have made it possible for Gorzów residents to send documents from any other InPost device in the city to the 'official' Paczkomat® device. Such a solution during the pandemic period is much safer for both the residents and the officials themselves." - said Rafał Brzoska, founder and CEO of InPost – "By now, several cities have also approached us with a similar request to help unblock the offices," he - he added.
"We were looking for solutions to make life easier for Gorzow residents. We asked InPost if they would help us solve the problem of serving residents. The response was instant and after just one week two devices were launched, which should definitely improve the work of the office." - said Jacek Wójcicki, Mayor of the City of Gorzów Wielkopolski.
Residents can handle selected official matters with the help of the Paczkomat® InPost - simply fill in a simple form on urzad24.inpost.pl/Gorzow and bring the required documents to any Paczkomat® machine of your choice within the city. The cost of sending is PLN 5.99. The collection of documents sent by officials to residents will be possible at the InPost device at ul. Sikorskiego 3-4 and at ul. Myśliborska 34, located next to the City Hall buildings. During the pandemic, InPost recommends a convenient and secure collection of documents remotely using the free InPost Mobile application from a smartphone (the application can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play shops), instead of the standard use of a touch panel.
At the moment, the City Hall in Gorzów Wielkopolski accepts via Paczkomat® mainly cases to the Department of Communications - residents can, among other things:
- register the vehicle,
- apply for the issue of registration certificates, vehicle cards, temporary permits and number plates,
- report the disposal of the vehicle, a change of condition or dismantling of the vehicle,
- request the exchange of communication documents and their verification against the existing records.
A number of other applications will also be accepted, a list of which will be on the Authority's website.
Demand for InPost services is growing steadily - The network of devices in Poland already numbers 6,000, exceeding the scale of Poczta Polska's own outlets (4,600[1]).

Under 'Parcels at the weekend', parcels will be delivered to customers at the weekend if the posting (i.e. the parcel being handed over to the machine or POP, or an order being placed for collection by courier), takes place by 1pm on Saturday.
InPost has released an innovative solution that allows you to manage your parcel from within the app[3]. . From a few months onwards, multiple people will be able to receive parcels at once at a single machine. GO MOBILE Strategy! is a significant step in the reorientation of the logistics industry towards mobility. InPost will also soon make it possible to send parcels via an app installed on a smartphone.
InPost can now also be contacted via Google Assistant. The conversation starts by calling a bot called ChatBot Mat with the phrase "Talk to InPost".
