Rafał Brzoska, founder and CEO of InPost
2023 was another very good year for the InPost Group, in which we recorded strong growth of more than 20 per cent in volumes served.
We are the undisputed leader in Poland and continue to record growth rates above the market, thereby increasing our market share. Poland is our benchmark for expansion in international markets. We are successfully transferring Polish solutions to foreign markets, so that the international part of the business is also growing as planned.
Mondial Relay is on track with our strategic plans, focusing on developing the B2C segment - where volumes in Q4 2023 grew by 30% year-on-year. We currently have the second largest network of parcel machines in France and the Group's plan for 2024 is to become number one.
In the UK, the main objective for 2023 was to solve the logistics challenges, which was achieved by purchasing a stake in Menzies Distributions. With the current strong growth in demand, the main objective in the UK is to expand the network as quickly as possible. The plan to increase the number of machines in the UK is already underway. In December last year alone, we set up more than 300 new Parcelcomat® machines there, which was the best monthly result in this market. In 2024, we want to maintain a similar growth rate.
We ended 2023 with another successful and record-breaking parcel peak. We handled 11 million parcels on our most order-laden day.
Our Paczkomat® devices in both Poland and international markets performed even better than last year. Some of them achieved utilisation rates of over 300%. This proves that InPost - while remaining the best logistics operator in Poland - is well on its way to successfully replicating its business model in other countries.
