InPost Group decarbonisation targets accepted by SBTi

At InPost, we are committed to combating climate change, so as a natural consequence of the ESG Strategy we adopted a year ago, we have implemented measures - developing a Decarbonisation Strategy .

We are proud to announce that the science-based emission reduction targets included in the strategy have passed validation in the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) - a global, prestigious body that enables companies to set ambitious emissions reduction targets in line with the latest climate science. The Science Based Targets Initiative supports companies in defining, assessing and validating climate targets that are in line with current science and contribute to the Paris Climate Agreement's goal of reducing global warming to well below 2°C. The initiative was founded in 2015 by WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature), the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), the UN Global Compact and the World Resources Institute (WRI).

Our efforts to develop a NET-ZERO strategy have put us among the leaders as of now, with more than 4,700 (as of 20.03.2023) companies and institutions from around the world having joined SBTi. And only around 180 have approved NET-ZERO targets.

At InPost, the Decarbonisation Strategy is closely linked to the business strategy. We cannot grow without respecting the environment, especially as we know that the intensive development of e-commerce has a huge impact on it.

The addition of the InPost Group as a member of SBTi is in line with the company's existing pro-environmental activities and is an extremely important step towards full decarbonisation.
