InPost Finanse opens cash points at tax offices in Gdansk
12 February 2015
The dynamic development of InPost Finanse's offer is possible thanks to the status of a national payment institution, granted to the most trusted companies by the Financial Supervision Commission. The company's strategy is to introduce similar outlets also in other Polish cities - tender proceedings are underway in many of them. Significantly, not only tax offices, but also other public institutions, e.g. Zakład Gospodarowania Nieruchomościami in the Bielany district of Warsaw, are already deciding to launch InPost Finanse cash points.
Cash points under the InPost Finanse brand were already launched in 2014. The first to choose an independent operator were the two tax offices in Zielona Góra (contracts with the institutions were extended not long ago and will also remain in force throughout 2015). Still in December last year - they were joined by the US in Lubliniec and Myszków, as well as the Second Tax Office in Gdynia.
Now, from the first quarter of 2015, InPost Finanse cash points will appear in some of Poland's largest cities - the First and Second Tax Offices in Gdańsk.
Cash services provided by InPost Finanse include, among others: accepting cash deposits and making cash withdrawals from a payment account, performing payment transactions and enabling payment transactions initiated by or through the merchant. At these points, it is also possible to make payments for all other types of bills (e.g. electricity, gas or water).
"Cash points in tax offices are another area of InPost Finanse's business that we are successfully implementing in Poland. It is with satisfaction that we carry out contracts for new entities, as this proves the very high quality of the services we provide. Confirmation of our reliability and operational sophistication is also provided by our long-standing cooperation with other state institutions - primarily in the area of money transfer delivery. The launch of cash points in two tax offices in Gdańsk shows that we are ready to conduct this very demanding business in Poland's largest cities, where the daily number of customers served is particularly high. Our aim is to further develop the service - we plan to significantly increase the number of cash points in 2015." - comments Łukasz Kulakowski, Managing Director of InPost Finance.
It is worth noting that not only tax offices but also other public institutions are already deciding to launch InPost Finanse cash points. In December 2014, the company, which is part of the Integer.pl Group, signed a contract for the provision of cash point services with Zakład Gospodarowania Nieruchomościami in the Bielany district of the capital city of Warsaw.
"It is no longer only tax offices that are choosing to introduce the InPost Finance service, which clearly shows that we have hit market demand. We want to take advantage of the good prospects, offer our partners increasingly better conditions and develop further innovative solutions for them to improve the efficiency of customer service." - Aleksandra Konieczna, Senior Cash Product Development Specialist, adds.
Companies responsible for operating cashpoints are increasingly being selected through open tenders organised by the public institution concerned. The entity that wins the tender signs a contract with the contracting authority, e.g. the tax office. The contract strictly defines the terms and conditions of the business - including, inter alia, provisions on the continuity of the cash point service, the opening hours of the point and the commission collection system.
In the Polish market, full cash services - also in the area of stamp duty - have so far been provided by the vast majority of banks. The authorisation to provide services in this area is issued by the Financial Supervision Authority, on the basis of restrictive guidelines. Such status is only granted to institutions that - in the opinion of the FSC - are able to provide an appropriately high level of security, meet a number of legal, financial and technical conditions, and have the necessary experience and education - adequate to the type and scope of their activities.
InPost Finanse has also been cooperating closely with public institutions in the delivery of remittances for a long time. Entities that cooperate with the financial operator in this area include regional branches of the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund (KRUS), municipal offices, social welfare centres and benefit centres. In total, the company delivers around 100,000 such benefits per month.
In Q4 2014, the company significantly expanded the reach of remittance advices. Thanks to the partnership agreement with PKO Bank Polski, remittances delivered by the operator are advised to almost 2,300 new points located in own and agency branches of the largest Polish bank throughout the country.
Part of the Integer.pl Group, the company is also a long-standing provider of insurance services and products. InPost Finanse cooperates in this area with leading market players, which include: Generali T.U., LINK4, Liberty Ubezpieczenia and Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń Wzajemnych.
The company - on a large scale - also provides outsourcing of settlement and transaction processes. In this respect, it provides services to, among others, the largest telecoms in Poland.
