Collaboration in the delivery of goods to Refrigerators and D2D
InPost - the leader in modern logistics in Poland - has signed a contract with the Auchan shop chain for the delivery of Lodówkomats and a door-to-door delivery service. The functionalities of the InPost machines allow for safe storage and collection of food, beverages and frozen food ordered online at Auchan Direct. Since 14 April, Lodówkomat - operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week - has been available in Piaseczno for customers of the Auchan e-store. Further machines will soon appear at the next two outlets of the chain - Auchan Łomianki and Auchan Warszawa Jubilerska. Already before the outbreak of the pandemic according to the Kantar TNS survey [1] As many as 40% of online shoppers wanted to pick up their groceries at a Paczkomat® InPost device - now the demand for Lodzkomaty is even higher.
"We had been technically fully ready for the launch of Fridge Machines for a long time - we had already been running pilot programmes since 2018 - but the grocery part of the e-commerce market in Poland was not properly developed. The arrival of the coronavirus pandemic dynamically changed consumer habits, and shops had to quickly adapt to the new reality in which we all now operate. While the growth rate of this segment is high, there is still a need for greater scale - which is why we highly encourage our partners to invest in online sales. Against the backdrop of the pandemic, picking up groceries in Fridge Machines or doorstep delivery and non-food products in the Paczkomat® InPost network of machines is a great option for consumers - we can see this from the huge demand for our services. In these difficult times, online shopping - especially with fast, contactless collection at an InPost machine - has become safer than picking up at stationary outlets." - said Rafał Brzoska, CEO of InPost.
Demand for InPost services is growing steadily - Paczkomat machine network ® InPost (6000 devices in Poland) exceeded the scale of Poczta Polska's own outlets (4600 [2] ).
As many as 63% of online shoppers declare that they most often use the services offered by InPost [3] - This is the highest result among all logistics companies operating in Poland.
InPost due to growing demand for device delivery services Paczkomat® in connection with the pandemic, accelerated the launch of a new service "Parcel in a Weekend" enabling deliveries to InPost machines also on Saturdays and Sundays - the cost of the service is PLN 4.99 gross . Under "Parcels at the weekend", parcels will be delivered to customers at the weekend if the posting (i.e. the parcel is handed over to a Parcel Machine® or POP or an order is placed for collection by courier), takes place on Saturday by 13:00.
InPost has released an innovative solution that allows you to manage your parcel from within the app [4] . For several months now, multiple people will be able to receive parcels at once at a single Paczkomat® device. GO MOBILE Strategy ! is a significant step in the reorientation of the logistics industry towards mobility. InPost will also soon enable parcels to be posted via an app installed on a smartphone. InPost can now also be contacted via WhatsApp by sending a message to +48 722 444 000. Customers can inquire about, among other things, the status of their parcel, the nearest Paczkomat®, as well as the courier's number. This is the first such solution in Poland available through this application. You can also talk to InPost using Google Assistant by calling a bot called ChatBot Mat with the phrase 'Talk to InPost', as well as on Messenger.
