8 weeks on the podium of the download list in the Google Play and App Stores
The free mobile app for remote box opening of InPost - the leader in modern logistics in Poland - already has 4 million active users. The company records several hundred thousand remote box openings per day. In addition, for eight weeks the software has stood on the podium of the download list in the Google Play and Appstore shops. The popularity of the app has increased due to the huge demand - due to the ongoing pandemic - for contactless services. During this difficult period, the Paczkomat® devices - whose boxes can be opened by InPost customers using their own phone - prevent the transmission of the virus as a preventive measure. Contactless parcel collection at the machines is much safer than collection at stationary points.
"We knew that launching an innovative solution on the Polish logistics market, such as a mobile app for device management, would be a very good idea. However, until the pandemic, no one predicted how much this very solution would be needed and how well it would perform. In our opinion, technology is the logistics of tomorrow. As you can see, basing your business strategy on innovation allows you to be well prepared even for the unexpected. While others are opening expensive stationary branches, we are gradually transferring all activities to the mobile app - which allows us to extend our technological lead. We are pleased that when using InPost's services, customers feel safer - as evidenced by the fact that the app is already used by 4 million users. We expect a steady change in consumer habits in Poland and abroad - when the battle against the virus is over, customers will continue to appreciate the speed, hygiene, convenience and other benefits of our solution. We are listening to the needs of our customers - due to the growing demand for devices during this difficult period, we have accelerated the introduction of Multiskrytka, a free solution whereby several shipments to a single recipient are placed in a single box." - said Rafał Brzoska, founder and CEO of InPost.
Brzoska emphasised that the app's success is also the result of its collaboration with UnitedApp, which uses modern methods of customer acquisition.
