InPost's infrastructure has grown to over 60 logistics centres
InPost - a leader among e-commerce delivery platforms in Europe - will launch another logistics centre at the Accolade Industrial Park in Goleniow near Szczecin. This will be another hub for InPost, which operates more than 13,000 devices in Poland and courier services based on its own logistics infrastructure and guarantees deliveries within D+1 deadlines.
We have the most modern and largest logistics base in Poland, which supports Europe's largest equipment network. This year, too, we are continuing to invest in new logistics centres and are dynamically expanding our geographical reach. But this is only part of what we are doing - we took delivery of a modern appliance factory in Krakow at the beginning of July, we are developing the 'Green City' programme in cooperation with Polish cities and we are investing in ecology: an electric car fleet and autonomous machines powered by photovoltaic panels. We are also expanding our network in Europe - we finalised the acquisition of France's Mondial Relay, which has 15,800 PUDO outlets in France, Benelux and the Iberian Peninsula. This shows the scale of our growth - unmatched by any player in Poland or Europe. Added to this are investments in technology - the 'Inpost Mobile' application is breaking records in popularity and is used by nearly 7 million users, and recently we have launched tests of our e-grocery shopping platform InPost Fresh. We are counting on the great success of this venture - given the ambitious plan to implement InPost fridge machines, which are already operating in Warsaw, Krakow and Wrocław - underlines Rafał Brzoska, CEO of InPost.
The industrial park in Goleniów is located in an area with unique development potential, in a rapidly growing special economic zone and with the availability of a highly educated workforce. The park's employees can take advantage of the nearby bus station, easy access by car to their place of work and the railway station, which can be reached in 10 minutes.
The region, with its close connections to the German border and Scandinavia, not only offers an excellent strategic location for business. The entire Szczecin area is an important research and development centre with 25 universities, educating 45,000 students. The city is a significant European logistics hub, directly connected to Polish and German road, rail and air infrastructure, with three international airports, one in Szczecin and two in Berlin, accessible within 1.5-2 hours by car. The Szczecin-Świnoujście seaport is one of the largest seaports in the Baltic Sea, offering excellent international freight services and a connection to the S3 Szczecin-Legnica expressway, leading to the largest cities in western, central and southern Poland. This means that it meets almost all the needs of companies looking for a comprehensive solution for their operations - comments Michał Białas, Country Head at Accolade Poland .
We are one of the largest investors in modern business infrastructure in the Szczecin region, having invested nearly EUR 190 million here over the past five years. Through our investments in intelligent and environmentally friendly industrial buildings, we have brought many world-class brands to the region and, together with them, we have contributed to the creation of 4,000 new jobs for skilled professionals. Our aim is to be a responsible member of the community and we intend to support the development towards modernity and sustainability in the Szczecin region - said Milan Kratina, CEO of Accolade.
InPost is implementing the 'Green City' programme, under which it has established cooperation with, among others, the cities of Łódź, Kraków, Kielce, Częstochowa, Wałbrzych and Zielona Góra - and by the end of the year the programme will cover several dozen cities in Poland . The programme supports the development of Polish cities in line with the idea of the 'smart city' - by offering modern services to residents, developing an optimal and ecological network of Paczkomat® devices, and taking measures to improve air quality and climate protection. The "Green City" programme is part of InPost's long-term strategy, which includes a wide range of innovations and environmental initiatives. The 'Green City' programme also envisages the development of a range of modern services for residents, such as electric chargers at InPost's Paczkomat® devices, the development of environmentally friendly transport, and the planting of air-purifying vegetation, among others. In addition, InPost intends to gradually replace its delivery fleet with electric cars in the partner cities as a first step.
InPost (AEX: INPST) is the leading delivery platform for e-commerce in Europe. Founded in 1999 by Rafal Brzoska in Poland, InPost has a network of 14,500 Paczkomat® machines in Poland, the UK and Italy, and provides courier and fullfilment services to e-commerce sellers in Poland, working with more than 28,000 e-tailers.
Strategically positioned in the fast-growing ecosystem of e-commerce, it benefits from favourable market trends - allowing for the rapid deployment of new machines.
InPost's Paczkomat® machines provide consumers with a cheaper, flexible, convenient, environmentally friendly and contactless delivery option. In this way, InPost creates the greenest delivery solution for e-commerce - delivery to the machines reduces CO2 emissions by two-thirds compared to courier deliveries in urban areas and by as much as 90% in rural areas. In addition, it reduces congestion and provides a more convenient solution for delivering parcels to consumers 24/7 and without having to wait at home.
A highly efficient IT infrastructure and rapid implementation of new technologies form the basis of InPost's operations and growth. InPost mobile application " InPost Mobile " is one of the most popular apps in Poland with nearly 7 million active users.
In January 2021, InPost successfully debuted on the EURONEXT Amsterdam stock exchange.
InPost delivered more than 440 million parcels across its network in Poland, France, Benelux and the Iberian Peninsula in 2020.
