How do I send a parcel from Italy to Poland?

To send a parcel from Italy, select the size and pay for the service online, print the label, stick it on the parcel and leave it in a Paczkomat parcel locker or at an InPost Point.

1. Measure and weigh the parcel

Once payment has been made, you will receive an address label and a tracking number.

3. Print the label

In Italy Printing the label is compulsory - It is not possible to send a parcel without a label attached. If you do not have access to a printer, you can print the label at your chosen InPost Point.

One label covers one parcel, so if you have two parcels, you’ll need to place two orders. An order remains valid for 30 calendar days from the date of payment; within this period, you can request a refund for any label you do not end up using.

4. Stick the label onto the parcel

Place it on the flat, upper surface of the cardboard box. The barcode must remain legible and must not be covered by packing tape or creased at the edge – this is the most common cause of errors in sorting centres.

5. Leave the parcel in a Paczkomat parcel locker or at an InPost Point

Take your dispatch code to a Paczkomat (Locker) parcel locker, open the locker and place your parcel inside. Alternatively, hand your parcel in to staff at an InPost Point. From that point on, you can track its status in the InPost Mobile app.

Before opening the form, please gather the following:

  • Recipient’s details: first name, surname, telephone number and email address.

  • The collection point in Poland is shown on the map above.

  • The sender’s details in the same set as the recipient’s details.

  • Telephone country codes: +39 for Italy and +48 for Poland.

  • Postcodes: the Italian CAP, consisting of five digits; the Polish postcode in the format 00-000.

How much does it cost to send a parcel from Italy to Poland?

You’ll pay for a parcel from Italy 37.99 zł for size Small, 41.99 zł for size Medium and 49.99 zł for size Large. These are the gross rates calculated per parcel, which are shown on the form before payment is made.

The size is determined by the dimensions of the packaged parcel: 8 × 38 × 64 cm for the Small size, 19 × 38 × 64 cm for the Medium size and 39 × 38 × 64 cm for the Large size. The weight limit is 25 kg for each parcel, and the parcel size is chosen to match its actual dimensions, rather than being forced into a smaller size. Each tariff includes parcel insurance cover of up to 5,000 zł, at no extra cost.

Delivery time for a parcel from Italy to Poland

Estimated Delivery from Italy takes approximately 5 working days, up to a maximum of 11 working days. You will see the first figure when placing your order; the second indicates the deadline by which the parcel is due to arrive at the collection point. The delivery period begins on the next working day after the date of dispatch, and collections and deliveries take place on working days.

Public holidays, apart from counting the deadline

Public holidays in the country of dispatch, the country of transit or in Poland are not included in the delivery time. If the parcel is posted just before a public holiday observed in Italy or in Poland, that day does not add to the delivery time. However, the countdown only begins once the parcel has been dropped off at the collection point, and a pre-printed label is required for this.

Where can I post a parcel in Italy?

The difference between them comes down to opening hours: the parcel locker operates round the clock, whilst at a PaczkoPunkt, staff will accept your parcel during opening hours. Collection of a parcel via Paczkomat®

The recipient is notified when a parcel is ready for collection By text message, email or in-app message, together with a confirmation code and a QR code. You have 36 hours to collect your parcel, whether from a Paczkomat® parcel locker or a PaczkoPunkt collection point. The only exception is a parcel locker with restricted opening hours, where the collection period is 48 hours. The earlier stages of the journey will be shown parcel tracking on the InPost website.

Once this period has elapsed, a second message is sent, specifying an additional collection period: 12 hours at a parcel locker, 24 hours at a parcel locker with restricted opening hours, and 36 hours at a PaczkoPunkt collection point. Arrange with the recipient in advance when they will collect the parcel, as the first collection window here is shorter than on other service routes.

Packing a parcel for delivery to Poland

Select rigid a box tailored to its contents and fill in any gaps so that nothing moves around inside. The sender is responsible for preparing and packing the parcel.

Label stick it onto the flat top surface, outside the packaging’s seal line, and leave the code exposed – neither tape nor a sticker must cover it. If the box has already been in circulation, remove any old labels and markings from it.

Items excluded from dispatch
