How to live in harmony with the environment? A few words about ecology

Nowadays, we are paying more and more attention to ecology. We are trying to repair the damage we have been doing to our planet for years. It is extremely gratifying to see that many companies and institutions are coming up with various solutions to improve the conditions in which we live and in which future generations will live.

Ecology has become a kind of 'trend'. People who follow fashion, at the same time contribute to reducing the damage we do to the environment. We reduce our plastic consumption, we separate our rubbish, we buy energy-efficient appliances. However, this is a drop in the ocean of our possibilities. Most of these things only marginally improve the quality of the environment. Although we are trying to act more and more 'eco', the services we use every day are adding to the debt we incurred with the planet many years ago. Why?

It is important for each of us to do for the environment what we are able to do for it. It may sound trivial, but the awareness and willingness to fight for its welfare will be the most important. Unfortunately, a single person will not do much if the large companies we constantly use do not implement ecological solutions. Is it really ecological to order "eco" products? What if the delivery turns out to be much more harmful? If we want to take care of the environment, we should think globally - also when it comes to ecology in courier services.

How do we contribute to saving the planet?

In the age of the Internet, online shopping has become very popular. Convenience and a much larger range tempt us to shop without leaving home. We order more and more, without thinking about the impact this has on our environment. Fast delivery of a parcel from the other end of Poland, preferably directly to our home, is becoming a priority for us. Somewhere, in between purchases, our ecological approach gets lost.

More and more parcels mean more plastic and exhaust fumes for the environment. However, our aim is not to reduce or completely abandon this form of shopping. Being aware of the problem, we try to implement innovative solutions that will not contribute to the destruction of our planet. As a courier company, we use certain eco-friendly facilities:

1. Increasing number of Parcel Machines.

Many find it convenient primarily for the courier . However, we mustn't forget that the Parcel Machine gives you the opportunity to pick up your parcel for many people from one place. There is no need to worry about not being at home at the hour of delivery, and the courier can have a clear conscience because he has not contributed to even more emissions. So we make a valuable trade-off for nature without compromising on convenience.

2. we are investing in electric vehicles.

Our fleet largely consists of electric delivery vehicles. This allows us to deliver parcels to the indicated address in an environmentally friendly manner. We are keen to develop this initiative, so by 2020 this type of vehicle will make up as much as 30 per cent of our brigade.

3. we match the size of the box to the size of the consignment.

We have reduced the empty space of the parcel to 10 per cent, and we believe that we can ensure that it can be transported just as well and safely, without adding unnecessary fillers and thus not creating further waste for the Earth. Needless to say, our packages are made of recyclable cardboard.

4 We will adapt the machinery for ecological production.

For years, we have been fighting the energy-intensive manufacturing process by switching to lighter-duty machines and using 3D modelling software. This is another step we can use to benefit nature.

How can you help?

The solutions we offer make us an environmentally friendly courier company . Of course, we are aware that this is not enough, so we still plan to develop in this direction. However, we can already see the results of our work! And combined with the reduction in CO² emissions - you can breathe easy! Speaking of air - don't pack too much of it in your parcel. Match the packaging to the item you wish to send.
