Four new InPost sorting centres - in Toruń, Bydgoszcz, Szczecin and Opole will be launched soon. InPost will lease a total of more than 21,000 m² of space in four Panattoni Europe distribution centres. The planned opening and commissioning of the sorting works is scheduled for the first quarter of 2020.

This will enable even more efficient handling of the increasing volume of parcels delivered by InPost - both courier and Parcel Post.

Thus, InPost will now have eight logistics centres at its disposal: four new Panattoni Europe spaces, the existing expanded central sorting facility at the P3 Piotrków warehouse park, two sorting facilities at the new logistics parks - 7R Park Sosnowiec and 7R Park Warsaw, as well as a modern facility at the MLP Poznań West logistics park.

InPost has leased around 5,000 m² of space in each of Panattoni Europe's four distribution centres - Panattoni Park Toruń II, Panattoni Park Bydgoszcz II, Panattoni Park Szczecin II and Panattoni Park Opole - including around 700 m² for offices.

"When working with huge volumes of parcels, the smooth operation and operational efficiency of the distribution centres is very important. The new sorting centres meet our very high requirements - both in terms of location and communication with the main road arteries, as well as an appropriate number of docks and courier shelters. A further four logistics centres will significantly increase our efficiency in as many as three provinces: Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Opolskie and Zachodniopomorskie". - indicates Rafał Brzoska, CEO of InPost.

Demand for InPost's services is growing steadily - the number of Paczkomaty® (5,000 devices in Poland) has exceeded the scale of the Polish Post Office's own outlets (4,600*).

"The opportunity to cooperate in these regions with a partner such as InPost - is a very important signal for us. It proves that our investment plans meet the expectations of the leading players in the logistics industry in Poland. After all, we are talking about cooperation with a dynamically growing logistics operator in not one, but four new locations. As a developer of industrial space, we were the first to notice the potential of the The thinking in Toruń, Szczecin, Bydgoszcz and Opole is paying off today, as our cooperation with InPost is the best proof". - says Dorota Jagodzińska, Managing Director at Panattoni Europe.

All facilities have been adapted for cross-docking operations by planning an appropriate number of docks and courier shelters. In Bydgoszcz, Szczecin and Opole, four TIRs and around 115 courier vans can be handled simultaneously. At the Toruń location, the numbers are even more impressive - 10 TIRs and 137 courier vans can be loaded at the same time in the sorting facility. All facilities are A-class warehouses, meeting the requirements of BREEAM multi-criteria building certification. These are key figures to ensure operational security at a time when the Polish e-commerce market is growing and generating such a high demand for courier services.
