The period of sales and Christmas shopping in online shops is also a time of increased fraud and attempts to defraud valuable data. Once again, out of concern for our customers, we appeal - be careful online!
We are receiving a lot of worrying information about further phishing attempts and attacks. And what is phishing really? This is one of the most common and popular fraud methods used by cybercriminals. Phishing is a type of social engineering that involves impersonating a specific institution or company, person, (so-called trusted entity) in order to extort valuable and confidential information. This can include passwords, logins, personal data or bank details.
Cybercriminals have once again chosen to use a site imitating the real InPost website for their purposes, false emails requesting payment for parcel delivery, and a service encouraging people to download a copy of the InPost Mobile app with malware.
We appeal - download our app only from verified sources: official shops Google Play lub AppStore . We assure you that you will find a safe version of our application in the places we have linked!
Do not be robbed! Fraudsters are coming up with ever new ways to rob you of your savings or defraud you of valuable data.
How not to fall prey to cybercriminals?
- Never click on suspicious links!
- Do not open or reply to suspicious SMS or e-mail messages,
- Under no circumstances disclose your private data. Apply the principle of limited trust online.
- Use ONLY verified forms of payment or shipment of the item (e.g. arranging shipment of the sold item on your own - using the InPost Mobile app or using shipment through our website inpost.pl/SzybkieNadania/ )
- Only download apps for your phone from verified sources.
Are you in doubt as to whether the message you have received is from us? Contact us via the helpline or via contact form - we will reply as soon as possible!
We would very much appreciate it if you would report any attempted fraud attacks to us. All reports will enable us to prevent further attempts at fraud and phishing.
Be vigilant! Remember that InPost NEVER sends you an SMS or email asking for a surcharge on your parcel!
