We love to pass on information like this! Dominik Gajos - InPost Courier and fan of mountain climbing - climbed Lenin's Peak, a majestic peak in the Zaalayan Mountains in Asia, on the border of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan at 7,134m.
InPost courier, Dominik Gajos has been passionate about mountain climbing for years. When the idea of conquering a seven-thousander - Lenin Peak - appeared in his mind, he immediately moved on to planning the expedition. Dominik began his ascent of Lenin Peak from the Kyrgyzstan side on 18 July, and managed to reach the summit already on 23 July.
"At an altitude of 6800 metres we had the target in sight. The weather had fortunately stabilised. Every metre up meant breathing harder and harder. At 10:50 a.m. Kyrgyz time, and 6:50 a.m. Polish time, we stood on the summit, full of happiness and fulfilment that all the effort of preparation and sacrifices for this expedition had not been in vain. The preparations took four months plus three weeks of expedition. After reaching the summit, there were tears of happiness and a tightness in my throat at the thought of how many people trusted me and that I was able to repay them in this way. The Lenin Peak expedition was the best experience of my life. I look forward to more and to more challenges," says Dominik Gajos.
Congratulations! We are very happy that, as an expedition partner, we were able to support Dominic on his way to the summit, the goal was reached and the whole journey went safely.
We followed the expedition to Lenin Peak with bated breath on Dominik's Instagram, to which we of course warmly invite you: instagram.com/kurier_w_gorach .
Dominic's story is proof that every peak is within our reach, and that dreams are worth reaching for! #DoCel
