In the interests of the safety of our Couriers and the Recipients of parcels, we have decided to suspend the ROD (Return of Confirmed Documents) service for InPost Courier shipments . [Update, 26.03.2020 ] Fake SMS
- Beware of fake news (phishing)!
There has been a new wave of fake news in which cybercriminals are pretending to be InPost, informing about surcharges on parcels due to disinfection. We appeal for caution and remind you:
InPost never sends surcharge information in SMS messages!
Please exercise extreme caution and not responding to messages whose content reads as follows or similar:
Clicking on the link risks infecting your phone with malware.
We would like to remind you that, for your own safety, the InPost Mobile application should only be installed from an official source - the Google Play, App Store and Huawei AppGallery shops. Those who have installed the app from another source should immediately restore their phone to factory settings.
We would further like to inform you that we do not send any information to verify parcels due to the threat of coronavirus.
- Are you in quarantine? Inform the courier!
As a reminder, all customers who are currently in quarantine and buy online, they should inform the courier of the situation before collecting the parcel. We guarantee that the parcel will be delivered, but in such a situation we will change the delivery method to a more secure courier.
Please follow the recommendations and apply safety precautions that can limit the spread of the coronavirus.
The courier should call you before attempting delivery. If you wish to inform him beforehand - please contact our helpline.
Numery: 722 444 000 i 746 600 000
- Cash on delivery
The current situation means that interest in online shopping is growing rapidly. Cash on delivery is also on the rise, which poses new security challenges.
In view of the fact that cash - according to the World Health Organization - may be a source of coronavirus transmission , We recommend that you pay for your order as soon as you add it to your shopping basket and select online payment. This will directly translate into a reduction in risk and can naturally have an impact on reducing the spread of the virus.
Why it's better to pay for postage in advance and avoid cash on delivery ?
-
Pre-paid parcels may be left by the courier at a prearranged place with the recipient. , thus avoiding direct contact and thus reducing the risk of disease.
-
The delivery process of a prepaid order is more efficient than an order with a cash on delivery option - we eliminate the time involved in paying the courier, the order is immediately ready to be handed over to the recipient, and by entering a collection code, the customer does not have to sign for it when receiving the order.
[Update, 21.03.2020 ] Fake SMS
NOTE! Cybercriminals are once again impersonating InPost. They are sending out text messages informing about the possibility of tracking parcels via a mobile app with an attached link to a malicious domain, citing a situation related to the coronavirus pandemic. Clicking on the link risks infecting your phone with malware.
InPost NEVER sends text messages with links directing to sites outside the inpost.pl domain.
We remind you that, for your own safety, the app InPost Mobile should only be installed from an official source. - Google Play, App Store and Huawei AppGallery shops. Those who have installed the app from another source should immediately restore the phone to factory settings.
We would also like to inform you that we do not send any information to verify parcels due to the risk of coronavirus.
[Update, 20.03.2020 ] Change in the way the damage report is drawn up
In the interests of ensuring the highest safety standards and taking precautions, we are changing the form of the damage report related to the claims procedure . At the same time, we are suspending the current method of preparing a damage report in the presence of the courier or at the nearest InPost branch.
From now on, we are implementing a new, abbreviated damage report, which you will be able to complete at the time of submitting your claim online and send along with photos during the claims process. This can be done here. We would like to remind you that photographs of the damaged contents are essential for the processing of the claim - if they are not available, the Claims Department will ask you to send them.
Most importantly, you will complete the document safely and conveniently - without a courier and without having to visit a branch. All you need is access to the Internet. The procedure applies to damaged courier and parcel shipments. It is currently the only form available and completely replaces the previous ones.
Please note: the process of creating a damage report is independent of the complaints process, which means that in the event of damage to a consignment, a complaint should be made as standard by complaint form and then complete the protocol and add photos.
We are confident that the modification introduced will contribute to the safety of you and your loved ones.
[Update, 18.03.2020 ] Receiving parcels from the courier using a collection code
At the moment, the coronavirus does not affect the delivery of your parcels - they arrive without delay.
We would like to inform you that we have launched the collection of parcels from the courier using the offtake code to eliminate the need for a signature on the terminal. A unique code is sent in an SMS message to the phone number provided and/or in an email.
We remind you to pay particular attention to the correctness of the telephone number given in the order .
We recommend the use of cashless payments BLIK, credit card or PayByLink (if available) for cash on delivery.
[Update, 16.03.2020 ] Changes to the collection of parcels
Taking special precautions - especially avoiding human clusters and contact with infected people - can limit the spread of coronavirus. At a time when sickness is expected to increase, we recommend that you shop online and use InPost Parcel Machines - including when the retailer offers delivery by both our courier and to a Parcel Machine. This limits contact between the courier and the recipient. This is important in view of the fact that, as the WHO reports, the virus is most often transmitted by the droplet route.
In response to the current situation, in the following days we implement necessary changes to the collection of parcels:
-
From 16 March, parcels ordered to Parcel Machines will wait for collection as before - for 48h. After this period, unclaimed parcels will not be sent back to the InPost Branch but will be returned directly to the Sender. We are also introducing an analogous change for courier shipments - in the event that we are unable to deliver directly to the Recipient (we make two delivery attempts), the shipments will go to the Sender.
Why such a change? We want to limit as much as possible the contact between InPost branch employees and outsiders, as the work of the whole branch can be affected if one person falls ill. We realise that this is a significant change, but we hope that you will accept it with understanding. We will, of course, return to standard procedures as soon as possible.
-
This change means that also from 16 March we suspend the posting and collection of parcels at our Service Points located at InPost branches. Parcel delivery and collection will be possible at the Parcel Machine, POP partner outlets and through the courier driveway. You can also send your parcel securely at Paczkomat using the Fast Shipping service (szybkienadania.pl) or through the Parcel Manager.
-
Since 18 March, we have been implementing a collection code-based system for courier deliveries to eliminate the need for a signature at the courier terminal. A code to confirm receipt of your parcel will be sent to you in the status messages (email and/or SMS). Please provide the code to the courier.
Why this change? It will allow couriers to maintain a safe distance when handing over your parcel.
-
We recommend the use of the option to redirect to a parcel machine - is much more secure, thanks to the ability to open the box remotely from the mobile app. We ask that when ordering courier and parcel deliveries, you pay particular attention to the correctness of the phone number you provide.
In the coming weeks we recommend:
-
when you have the choice between delivery by an InPost courier or delivery to an InPost Easypack® - order to Parcel Machine . This reduces contact with other people;
-
Collect parcels as quickly as possible. This will ensure that more people benefit from the secure Parcel Post collection;
-
When picking up a parcel from a Parcel Machine® InPost, do not touch the control panel. open a Parcel Machine® box using the InPost app from your smartphone (app available for download in the App Store and Google Play shops);
-
when making home/apartment deliveries, keep a good distance and pick up packages at the door or in front of the house to minimise face-to-face contact time. When collecting your parcel, just give the courier the collection code;
-
in addition, for deliveries by courier choose to pay at checkout or make payment before the courier arrives (via the PayByLink option). If for some reason this was not possible - pay the parcel to the courier without cash;
-
in accordance with health authorities' guidelines, avoid direct contact in the form of greeting by shaking hands and handing over - while signing - telephones, mobile computers or pens, etc.
We have taken appropriate measures out of concern for our employees, customers and partners. Their safety and security, as well as the communication of possible risks, is our priority.
