"Green" deliveries in Warsaw by the end of 2021
We are expanding our electric car fleet with 40 new Nissan e-NV200 XL Voltia and e-NV 200! Our new cars will be driving in the biggest cities in Poland - after Warsaw, Wroclaw and Krakow. What's more, next year we plan to increase our fleet to 500 electric cars. By the way, we are proud to announce that the capital city will be the first fully 'electric' city with green deliveries to our Parcel Machines.
We are expanding our fleet of vehicles to service the increasing number of Parcel Machines, of which there are already more than 8,000 in Poland. "We want the cars in the InPost fleet - serving additional volumes from the new Parcel Machines - to be electric cars. That is why next year, with support from the Low Carbon Transport Fund, we plan to increase our fleet of electric cars to 500. Also next year, the first fully zero-emission city for our deliveries will be Warsaw." - announces Rafał Brzoska .
Not only do we want to be the market leader in supply, but we also want to set the industry's ECO direction. We intend to minimise our impact on the environment and inspire others to take action to protect it. The carbon footprint calculator indicates that if traditional delivery courier to the home were replaced by delivery to a Parcel Machine, the reduction in CO2 emissions would reach up to 75%. Delivering a parcel to a Parcel Machine means at least 0.35 kg less CO2 emissions into the atmosphere per parcel. This makes InPost the most environmentally neutral logistics provider.
"Market leadership is not only a privilege - but also a responsibility. Delivering multiple parcels by electric car to a single Parcel Machine supports the reduction of CO₂ emissions and reduces traffic jams in increasingly congested cities such as Warsaw." - said Rafał Brzoska, CEO of InPost .
Nissan cars offer a range of up to 200km in the city, 8m³ of load space and a payload of 580kg. This provides the flexibility needed for urban deliveries. The convenience of the couriers is also ensured by, among other things, the I-Key keyless entry and engine activation system, automatic air conditioning and heated seats.
Keep your eyes peeled and look out for our electric Nissans on the streets of Polish cities!
